Three Friends:

Leonard Edmondson, Ynez Johnston, Emerson Woelffer

While Edmondson and Johnston knew each other while attending UC Berkeley, Woelffer met them both while teaching at Chouinard and Otis Art Institiute.  They all lived on Mt. Washington, overlooking Los Angeles’ downtown, a favorite ‘artists’ community.
As part of the post-war art scene in Los Angeles, these three artists were inspired by the abstract expressionism movement sweeping the United States; these three friends were also teaching art: Edmondson and Woelffer at UCLA and Johnston at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles.
In the individual and featured techniques of Ynez Johnston, Leonard Edmondson and Emerson Woelffer, we invite YOU to explore and enjoy beautiful, titillating, fun images that support our desire to share…and YOUR desire to acquire and live with them!
