THREE FRIENDS
EMERSON WOELFFER, YNEZ JOHNSTON and LEONARD EDMONDSON were a ‘three-some’. They laughed together, they ‘went around’ together, they all were printmakers, they lived near each other – but their creative juices were very individual.
I can affirm that each of these artists was ‘a friend’… up-beat, communicative and sociable.
Each artist had a distinctive technique through which each expressed himself/herself clearly. As you can see below, the art created by each, is individual. A ‘common denominator’ may be a strain of surrealism to be discovered in each personal ‘voice’.
