Our exhibition will present paintings, drawings, sculpture and prints (1930s-2003); also included are works related to many of Engel’s animated films such as Mr. Magoo, Madeline and The Alvin Show, as well as later abstract films such as Rumble, Accident and The Meadow.

Our exhibition is parallel to a memorial program with a screening of Jules Engel’s films and a discussion panel at the REDCAT Theater/Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Event proceeds from the evening will benefit the Jules Engel Scholarship Fund at The California Instutute of the Arts (CalArts).
