Rupert J. Deese: Stoneware

November 22 - December 31, 2003

Since his designing years for Franciscan Pottery, Deese throws and decorates fine vessels in imaginative forms - always with function in mind.  Beginning with finely textured walnut-brown clay bodies, he grinds all surfaces, bases and lips to seductive smoothness - then applies his creative patterns and glazes before refiring.
